Architecture

Website architecture is the plan for how pages work together. A good website is designed such that the architecture is easy to follow for users. A website is usually divided into sections with sub-sections that follow through with consistent themes.

Architecture can be oriented by topic, by audience or a combination of the two. The architecture of a website should be planned before pages are created. User testing can determine whether a particular plan for pages will work.

The system uses a tree structure to represent how pages fit within the architecture.
