YARE is a product designed to make the lives of website owners easier. YARE gives business owners a custom website that uses a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS speeds up the process of updating the site and gives control of the website back to the business owner, reducing costs and saving time.
A Content Management System (CMS) is a piece of software that stores and retrieves information using a database. In the case of a YARE the information (we call it content) is usually text or images.
A CMS allows people to contribute content to a website without prior knowledge of web programming languages. The CMS software is installed on a computer at a web host (called a server) and users connect to it through the internet.
The CMS used by Yare is called Typo3. Typo3 is open source software which is released under a GPL licence. When using YARE you are paying for the time it has taken to set up your website within the CMS, not the typical licence fees or software costs of other products.
