Page Tree View

The Page Tree appears in the Navigation Pane when Page is selected from the Web Module. Page selection is required if an action is to be made on a page or on page content.

The Tree view is very similar to the interface used by computer file managers. Pages are represented by an icon and a title. Pages appear on lines stemming from a root file. The dotted lines running down the page are called root lines and represent the depth of the page in the architecture.

In websites with more than one level of architecture not all pages will be immediately visible. Levels can be extended by using the mouse to select the + sign on the left of the page icon. Levels can be hidden again by selecting the - sign on open levels. Doing this does not hide the pages, it is only a way to make the Editing Area tidier.

Page Mounts

Page Mounts are set for individual Editors. Page Mounts allow Editors to view some pages but not others. This means that the Page Tree could appear fragmented with inconsistent root lines. If a page that a user wants to edit does not appear in the Page Tree View they probably do not have permission to view it. Page Mounts can only be set by the YARE web team.
