Pasting Content

Content from External applications can be pasted into the system. External applications include word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  1. Open the application with the content to copy.
  2. Open the content to paste into.
  3. Highlight the content to copy in the external application.
  4. Place the cursor into the text where you want it to appear.
  5. Right click the mouse to open the menu and select Paste  OR use the CTRL V on the keyboard.
  6. The content will be pasted into the text area.

Cleaning the Content

Content pasted from another application may contain superfluous tags. The website developer may have written code to strip most of these but some may remain. Some tags need to be cleaned manually by clicking the remove formatting button . Some formatting will be lost and need to be reapplied.

The best method for clean content is to follow good practice and use styles in your word processing application.
