What do I need?

Equipment you'll need

Although no customised software is required you will need some equipment before you can use the CMS. The basic equipment required is...

1. A working computer with an internet connection. Most modern computers that can connect to the internet will do (PC, Mac or Linux). You'll find it quicker if your internet connection is reliable e.g., cable or Jetstream, but a good dialup modem will do.
2. A Modern web browser. You will be able to edit your site in any standards compliant web browser (Safari, Firefox, etc) Internet Explorer will also work. Your site will be visible in all modern browsers and most old ones.
3. A username and password. You will be provided these when you sign up, keep them secret because anyone with them will be able to alter your site.
4. Some basic computer skills. Using a CMS is fairly simple but you will require a basic knowledge of computers and in particularly text editing (word processing) concepts.
