A style sheet controls what every page element will look like. Page elements include headings, text, lists, forms, links, menus, images and other page items. Anything on a web page can be controlled by a style sheet. In YARE styles are applied to Headings and paragraphs. A limited number of styles ensures consistency and enhances the user experience. Too many styles can be overwhelming and detract from the site's key message.
Style sheets are used because they control how elements look from a single source. A change to the style sheet can influence every element on every page in the website. Using style sheets makes it faster to change the entire site. Style sheets also create a consistent look for all elements and the organisations brand.
Style sheets can usually only be altered by the site administrator.
